Ice Cream for Breakfast!

Today is Founder's Day at Give Kids the World Village and they celebrate this by designating this day as the official Ice Cream for Breakfast Day. We did our part this morning by eating our share and getting good and sugared up. Chase was here to help celebrate and he was sure happy that he was here, too.

Yesterday was Dr. Seuss Day at school and the parents were invited to come in and read to the class. I was one of three parents out of Ethan and Emily's class that went in to read. Ethan and Emily chose for me to read one of their favorite books. It was Kiki's Playhouse. This is one of my old books and a book that my grandma read to me when I was a little girl. It is also the inspiration for Emily's wish from Magic Moments. Emily told me that she was upset that her teacher could not be there that day (they had a substitute) because she REALLY wanted her teacher to hear that story. The other kids in the class seemed to enjoy the story, too, and so I was happy about that. Here are the children listening to one of the other parents reading.

Every Tuesday the kids go to the after school program at church called Terrific Tuesday. This week they got to learn how to use the hand bells and play a song. They really enjoyed it. They love going to Terrific Tuesday every week and get so upset when they aren't able to go for some reason. Here is a picture that I took with my phone of them playing the hand bells.
